Writing as a passion and how it all began.....

The sudden interest in writing is not an overnight thing. Honest. I started out liking Malay literature, fascinated by their flowery choice of words. ( I know Emz is rolling her eyes by now.lol) eg.

Bayu laut meniup-niup sepoi sepoi bahasa.

Hatiku gundah gulana ditelan seribu bahasa.

Well you get my drift.

Yet, it is mostly propelled by heritage, so to say. Papa enjoys writing yet his works are of private collection, mostly. When I was a little girl, papa would read to my sister and I bedtime fairy tales before we eventually dozed off to bed, dreaming of prince charming and little mermaid,oh.. the list goes on.

However, one writer left a mark so prominent
ly in my life. Jane Austen made classics into a world I found enticing. Born in Stevenson, Hampshire, 16 December 1775, her satirical wit, comical sense and frankness drew her admiration. How can she not be inspired, living in such a breathtaking atmosphere?
If Jane is alive today, you can bet she will not hesitate to blog enthusiastically.

****A Note of Caution****

Not everyone will love the way we express ourselves through writings. But pay no need.

Nor take heart.

Writing is an art that enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.

How much easier it is to be critical than to be correct.

So blog-writers, just write what's on your mind. You should not be punished for the liberty of your thoughts.

I stopped by Carmelite Chapel today. I asked Him many things. Among them include one of my aspirations if I become a mother in the future. I would want to read bedtime stories to my children too, in the footsteps of Papa. Whether they do or do not love writing, it is their choice. A mother can only guide, not impose force on her loved ones.

Ps. I love reading too:DD Thus, read while you can and absorb as much as your mind can take in. Knowledge is a gift without boundaries, as long as it is the good sort.

Choose a good reputation over great riches,
for being held in high esteem is better
than having silver or gold.

Proverbs 22:1 NLT
